Janis M. Dalessandro begun her career as a marketer in 1990, as a Director of Specialty Programs for the largest privately held hair-care companies. Having been described as both the little engine and the graceful swan by emcees, it is apparent that her hands-on and "can do" approach to living definitely shows in her work. Her well-rounded experience of marketing, promotions, media-buying, event-planning, program writing and statistical analysis played a big role in her decision to start not one -- but two companies in the same year.

Taking a step out of big business, Janis set out to create her own line of gourmet condiments (www.d-oni.com) and provide marketing consulting and web site development to entrepenuers, non-profit organizations and artists. In 2000, both of her goals came to fruition with the launch of both d'Oni Enterprises and janis m. consulting.

When asked how and why she would start two businesses concurrently, her answer was simple: some people like to watch television in their down-time, I enjoy working -- at the end of the day, I only did what my heart and my stomach told me to.

Janis resides in Southern California with her husband David and dog, Chai. When not juggling, coding or stirring, she enjoys jazz and tap dancing, reading and going to a really good spa.
